Miata Fan Switch Quality?
In recent thread, someone noted the switch resulted in frequent short fan cycles. The switch (yrs 90-94, N350-18-840) is supposed to come on at 207F and off at 194F
(stock FD switch is on at 226F and off at 214F).
I tested a miata switch last nite, bought a couple years ago but never used ... went on at 200F and off at 195F. This swing of only 5 degF, vs 12-13 degF specs, would cause excessive cycling, and needless wear of relays and fan motors in high traffic use.
Wonder if this is common experience, and mabe a cheaper aftermarket part would be better? (beck arnley # 201-1621, or napa part)
