miata battery vs. pc680
First off, i just wanted to say i've read all the old threads on smaller replacement batteries...
The miata battery (what's the cca on this thing?) that i'm using is not doing it. It's not enough to start the car up if i let it sit for 3 or more days. On the 2nd day, it starts up but not as smoothly as i would like it to. My question is this: how does the PC680 or PC925 for that matter compare to the miata battery? Will either of these start my car up if i let it sit for a week? Also, will the PC925 fit in the storage bin without cutting? I just want to make sure that i'm upgrading and not trading in for one of similar performance or even downgrading.

if you want to upgrade dont get a pc680. thats what i have. it about 15 lbs. i could go two weeks before the battery gets weak. if you cant go 3 day, it time for you to get a new battery.

I don't have an upgraded sound system or even an aftermarket alarm. The only thing i want the battery to be able to do is run the fans for 10 mins after shutdown, be small enough to fit in the storage bins without cutting, and last a longer than 3 days.

I use the PC680 but didn't realize it is a "motorcycle" battery for a Harley, BMW, etc.
Odysey makes a car battery that is closer to the Miata size with plenty of power. You will not save on wieght but it is a sealed gell and the acid won't leak and corode your engine bay.
I will eventually go with Pettits kit (at least I know what it looks like). Know one replied when I asked if they used M2's kit (could be the same kit as Pettit's).
If you really want a Miata size, buy this gell version (click below)

I do "NOT" recomend the PC680 to power your fans for 10min with the engine "off"! ...unless you like jump starting your car for excersize.
