Metal Nipples near Wastegate FELL OUT

Hey, i had been having a problem the past couple days where i would boost way too high. I thought my POS HD boost controller wasn't working properly, so i bought a Hallman. I went to install it today and realized that the little metal piece that has 2 nipples on it fell off of the compressor housing right next to the waste gate. i put it back in, but im nervous its gonna fall out again. anyone have any experience with this?

Ill give some JB weld a try . For now i have it stuck back in and i used a metal exhaust wrap tie to sort of hold it to a bolt. I know for sure tho i am going to pull boost off of somplace else before i drive the car again. Last thing i want is that popping off at WOT

JB Weld it back in - if you do it right, that will never happen again.

If you want to get medieval, do what I did - pull that fitting out, drill and tap the hole, and put in a brass nipple. With a boost controller you only need one boost reference, so there's no need for 2 nipples. But, the turbos really need to be out of the car to pull this off .

JB weld it is. I have to drive the car Sunday afternoon so im gunna try and JB weld it tomorrow morning so it has time to set up. What did you guys do, pull the fitting back out and put some jb weld on the part that slides into the housing? or did you JB around it?

do a little of both for a secure fit. just make sure you do not plug the whole with jb weld and allow 24 hours to cure. so no driving around for a good while. with that, you are good to go

i did it in between run groups with the 4 hour cure during a time attack hehe. but your advice sounds better

the 4 hour is good, but the heat resistance is better on the 24 hour cure JB weld.
