Mechanic GOT MY KEY STUCK!!

So I get my ignition switch replaced. The mechanic informs me that the key is stuck.

I just get the car outta there before they **** something else up.

So can anyone hep me get the key out. It can go to the ACC but won't push in and come out. Its an FD BTW. Also it is not the stock ignition (door key and ignition keys are different)

-Thanks, Adam

Why would you do it yourself if someone else broke it ?

Get him to fix it and then find a new mechanic.

Leave it in, just take the door key with you, and lock the car.

i just paid a locksmith to get it out. The mechanic apparently reinstalled the lock slightly crooked!

Push the key in and try turning it out while turning the steering wheel from side to side

My key got stuck and I used a SMALL hammer and tapped on the end very lightly while working the key. This should work.

I'm sure it wasn't the mechanics fault. It's not like you can do that on purpose on something.

FD3S keys ARE known to break - I've probably bought six replacements in ten years. It's due to the way they are cut.

(I'd still try to blame the mechanic though - just to make him feel bad.

Hell, ALWAYS blame someone else - it's the American way!
