MBM on black

Ive been searching for a good bit now and I cannot find an MBM fd with an all black interior. If anyone has this or knows of pictures to post here it would help a bunch. Im about to jump in the carpet group buy and I want to go all black interior. Just wanted to make sure it didnt look like poop first.

What looks like poop is a Montego Blue FD with tan interior.

I am pretty sure the only montego blues that came with all black interior were base models. and I agree, tan is disgusting. Tan leather and carpet are fine, but tan door panels and plastic suck. They get dirty and you can never kee them clean.

I've got black leather and black floor mats so the only piece of the puzzle that is still tan in the main carpet. There's so little left of it showing it's almost not even noticeable. It deffinately looks better witout any tan components, so go for it. ! ! !

It was just a joke man, relax. And use the search button, the classifieds have plenty of MB FDs with black interior:

You can get the tan plastic / doors sparkling clean if you try. I use the "Mr. Clean Magic Eraser" it wipes off all the crap and makes them look damn near new.

The Eraser also does wonders for my white wheels

see mine looks like that basically. Its not that I dont like it. It looks ok. Its just not what I want. I want to simplify the color scheme and I like the black better.

Sorry blue rex. I was a big ******* yesterday for some reason and I need to apologise to many people. I ripped my purpe pants and everything

Changing to black carpet would definitely look better, awesome price too. The only bitch part is taking out the dash, Ive done it a few times before.

Amen on the magic eraser. That thing IS magic!

Seriously though, my interior is all tan, and I think it's immaculate. I personally like the all tan interior. I do like the black though too, so I see where you're coming from. Personally, I think it's go all tan or all black. Not a mix of both. Aren't there some FD's with tan seats and door panels, but black in the bins area?

Yeah. My bins and doors and dash, its all black. My seats and carpet are tan. Im not really looking forward to making the switch. But, I do need to wire it for a system and move the battery to the back, wire some other poop when the dash is out. How much you think itll cost to recover my seats in black? between this and the hose job im not gonna like my rx7 anymore.

LeatherSeats.com had a special where you got 2 custom fitted black leather seat covers for $550 IIRC. Might want to contact them and see if the offer is still good.

Are the seat covers gonna cover the original leather or will the original leather be removed and should I even care?
