mbc vs electric boost controller
hey forum members i was just wondering what is the difference between a manual boost controller vs a electric boost controller. and yes did search but it seems like noone has written a thread on this. i know that for a mbc you would have to go pop the hood everytime you want to change boost and ebc you would just push a button. i will be nonsequential so im pretty sure it'll work. but when adjusting the boost on a mbc how do you know how much your going to boost. is it just hit or miss? please guys let me know what you know about boost controllers.

Yep, with a manual boost controller, it's make a run, see if boost is too high or low, pull over, pop hood, turn **** to raise or lower boost, and repeat until you get what you want.
You can get electronic boost controllers used for not a lot more than a good quality manual boost controller. I much prefer an electronic one - setup is easier, and you usually have 2 settings you can switch between and you can also turn it off. It's handy to switch it off while driving in the rain or something - with a manual boost controller you'd have to crank the **** all the way down then remember how many turns you cranked it to get your settings back.
They do have manual boost controllers with in-cabin controls and switchable presets, but at that point you're in the electronic boost control price range.
