Mazdatrix Oversized Stud Kit

Anyone used the studs in high hp applications? Experiences?

The High Strength Oversized stud kit eliminates the need for doweling the engine block. All studs act as dowels which massively increases torsionial strength 70%. Rotor housing deflection reduced - increases apex seal life. Less material machined from housings and plates than with doweling, reducing the possibility of cracking. High boost engine expansion reduced. Studs are less prone to stretching under high boost applications. More accurate tensioning of engine. Less chance of bolt breakage. High quality 12-point nuts rated at 180,000 PSI tensile strength. Studs manufactured from 4140 chrome moly, heat treated, centreless ground and black oxided. Engine must be accurately drilled, reamed and tapped to give 0.2mm clearance. Includes 16 studs, nuts and sealing washers. Does NOT include/need the two at the bottom of the "legs" closest to the oil pan.

Mark, did someone hack your account
?
Why are you asking? Planning on running a pair of BNR twins and doubling your HP
?
On a serious note--- we've installed them on exactly one build in all the years I've been involved at Gotham and IRP. IMO, they're just not necessary unless you're shooting for retarded (600+) rwhp levels.

Just keep in mind that the oversized kit requires machining to install. I have the stock sized kit:

I have the stock sized ones as well. Mazdatrix sells the ones made by X-Treme Rotaries. The only problem I have with them, they are starting to rust at the very bottom exposed stud by where the oil pan is on the passenger side.

They sure do. A friend of mine measured it on an engine dyno with strain gauge. Its more noticeable on the higher boost applications.
