I used to work at a tuner shop in the 90's, Hypersports Racing in Honolulu, Hawaii. Some time in late 1999 or early 2000, I imported in a complete Mazdaspeed A-Spec GT-C kit for a customer. I recently cleared out my storage and found a bunch of the documentation that came with the kit and decided to scan them just we'd have them. I'm sorry if they're trashed, but these were almost certainly on the floor of the shop at some point and we weren't treating them like precious documents. A couple of them are missing the top page, but I think the important parts are captured. I'll drop them here and later, when I have time, translate them. These parts, while not common, are still floating around and it may help someone who managed to get a hold of them. I think we can all "figure out" how to install these things, but you might have a bag of some odd looking parts and not know where they go.

Note: Missing pages here, but these has a right and left side and were screwed (or glued) to the oem rear bumper. The other side is installed the same way, but the shape of the part is different. The exhaust tip is meant to poke out through the finisher, so it's shaped slightly different to try and accomodate the muffler can. It's still tight though; IIRC we had to go back to a Greddy SP street exhaust to fit. Racing Beat would have fit. Those angled mufflers that were starting to get popular at the time, like the Apex'i N1 wouldn't fit without trimming the part and I think it would have looked nasty.
Note: Missing the front page, but IIRC it was just a big grid listing the parts.
Note 2: Image 3 was for the optional hatch cover when you removed the wing. The kit came with aluminum "caps" that you could swap in placed of the wing stands. These are the same shape as the wing stands except complete solid and were meant to cover the mounting holes in the hatch and keep water out.
The carbon hood was actually subject to a recall. Amazingly, Mazda USA contacted us even and performed the recall even though we had imported it directly from Japan. This only affected the carbon hoods. We had the full "dry carbon" hood with no fiberglass. We sent the car in, and when we got it back they had drilled out the rivets holding the original striker on and had both glued the replacement with epoxy and re-riveted it. Unfortunately, Mazda no longer has the repair kits to perform this recall. I called Mazda Motorsports as recently as last year and they had nothing.
Unfortunately, I don't have photos of the repaired hood striker. We also ended up painting it, because as cool as the carbon was, it was assembled in several pieces and the weave patterns didn't look good. Prepreg carbon fiber won't stretch over shape like this. It was a purely functional piece and it was amazing.
Too bad RX7Central isn't around anymore, this would fit right in with their document achieves. I have the paper work for the Mazdaspeed Underbody bracing and the OEM optional luggage strap, but found out the site shutdown when I went to submit the scans.
This is great to have since I just got a GTC Bumper. I verified the MS Hood I got already had the recall completed. I got the instructions for the OEM Hatch Visor and possibly the OEM Door Sills as well. I got to dig through the rest of my boxes to see if I have other instructions.

Did these hoods come in both fiberglass and carbon fiber? The document say you can identify the hood by the "air intake openings", so does that mean if my hood has these openings, it's carbon fiber and if no opening, then its fiberglass?

It's really obvious too if you have a carbon fibre reinfroced mazdaspeed hood. Especially if you have it painted. Mind you, it's carbon fibre reinforced so there's a mixture of both Carbon fibre and plastic. At least for the Carbon hoods. Not sure about the fibreglass versions.
It kinda reminds me of seeing the weave on Ferrari's supercars when I got my hood painted. You can clearly see the weave thru the paint.. It's kinda weird and kinda cool at the same time.. :-)
Man I wish I could find a MS hood for a reasonable price. An A-Spec front bumper would be nice too...
I've seen these A-spec hoods go up in value recently. They're getting tougher to find. Reasonable is now a luxury word when it comes to these things..
I only settled on the A-spec version because I was looking for an R-spec one. There were so few made though, when 1 of them does come up for sale, it's as much as an entire vehicle! And that's before shipping! I remember when I finally found one, the prices were starting at 11G's CDN. By the time the bidding was done, it ballooned to 15G's CDN. Again, before shipping! Factor in shipping and you're clearly looking at 18-20G's depending on how much you want to spend on the packaging.. absolutely crazy. I can't even imagine what 1 would go for now since they're basically a unicorn part now.
I do see the hood and bumpers come up all the time at auction. The bumpers starting at 3-4G's CDN. Most of them finish bidding at 5-7G's CDN. Depending on the condition.
The last time I saw the hood, it started at 4.5G's CDN. It finished at 8G's CDN. Again, before shipping... totally wild!

Unfortunately it’s not something you can make visible on camera. You’ll need a pretty good dslr and alot of proper light angles to see the weave. Also, you can tell from the top of it. Under the hood it’s a lot tougher to see the weave. But the top you can tell with the proper angle.
