Mazdaspeed front pipe

Have you guys seen this style front pipe by Mazdaspeed?

I thought it would look pretty cool, but its not like you can see it anyway, due to where it is haha.

I was also thinking, it should seem like its better on cooling though right, since it has the dual header type..?

HAHAHA ok....

As for is it better, I would think so, the air should be a ot smoother coming out, I still dont think its worth $740 or so that it is.. It looks it has more of the header concept then just having the manifold... Should add a couple hp I would think.....

I've seen that before

By another company though and they didn't make it for the RX-7. In that picture you can tell it's for the right hand drive.

It is supposed to be two 2.5" pipes for better flow and the design is mostly for clearance to keep you from bottoming out and denting the larger diamater pipe that hangs down too low.
(don't quote me on the measurements, typing from memmory)

This is what MAZDASPEED says using the translater

In order 1 to increase the modulus of section of the pipe in the limited space, from the Phi 60 single pipes of standard in dual pipe system of the Phi 54x2 modification. Air-flow resistance of the exhaust air has been decreased.

That DP is better for right hand drive, it will work for left hand drive cars, but the air flow is slightly restricted due to the indentation right after the intake side(for the steering column). And also be careful when you buy stuff from Mazdaspeed, some of there new stuff wont work on older RX-7's(pre 99').

Oh ya a lot of their stuff is like that..... If anyone is ever interested I have the MAZDASPEED Catalog at home and it tell application info, if its required..

GOOD POINT FDOKINAWA I forgot about that.

Like the Carbon Look mirror, I heard of a couple people buying them, and they didnt fit so I checked it out, and they are only made for the 99spec-current mirror so if you go to buy it keep that in mind.. check www.jt-imports.com for the type 4 mirror with carbon look though..
