MazdaSpeed Brakes pads worth it?
I came across a website that is selling MazdaSpeed brake pads and i was wondering if they are worth the $600 they are charging? My plans for the car are mostly Canyon roads and some track use. Or should I just go with the Endless?

You might want to do a little research on brake pads. Short answer to your question?
NO....................
A brand name doesn't tell you anything about the compound or temp range
Mazda, of Mazda Speed, doesn't make most of the products in the catalog. Someone else makes it for them.
On the Mazda motorsports web site they don't even list Mazda Speed brake pads. Just OEM & Hawk.
I suspect some knockoff company is selling some crap with a MazdaSpeed label on the box. eBay has all kinds of crap with the Mazda Speed logo
If you want to talk to someone in the know I would call Zeckhausen Racing (973)761-5054

I have two sets of pads for my car. I use Hawk HP+ for street & autocross use & Performance Friction 97 for the track. Each has it's strong points.
The Hawks give good cold temp bite, but are limited to 700 or so degrees & fade dramatically.
The Performance Friction 97 are not suited for street use. They have to be hot to work. The benefit is that they still work at very high brake temps generated at the track.

I ran HP+'s on the street for a bit but the squeeling drove me insane. Do you not have the same problem? Re: the PF97s, I wasn't aware they were available in stock sizing, are you running aftermarket calipers?
Also, thanks for the advice on the install of the Nardi wheel, it's one of the best interior changes I have ever made

$600 for a frigging set of brake pads?Just pick up some Axxiss Ultimates for about $110/set. They work great on the street/light track use. No squealing or corrosive dusting like the Hawk HP+.

I have found that the Porterfield R4S works well for street and light track duty.

I cracked a 2 month old set of stock size slotted rotors (front & rear) that I purchased from Stoptech.
My fix was the RS brake upgrade.
They use the same pad as the 93-95 FD. The differance is the rotors are larger in dia (314mm vs 296mm) & the fronts are wider (32mm vs 20mm)

http://www.zeckhausen.com/ has them. Includes charts showing the differance between the 3 Axxis brands.
You can do a google search & let your fingers do the shopping.
