Mazda reman prices?

Hey guys, it has been a while but I got another FD. Any recent experience with Mazda remans and pricing? I had good luck with them in the past but that was back in '00-'03 or so.

My new to me car is a '94 R2.

Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff, WELCOME BACK BUD!

Details on the car please?

Give Ray at Malloy a call, 888 533 3400 in case you don't have the number. Last I heard the reman program was on hold, but Ray was selling brand spankin' new engines for around $4200.

Thanks, it is good to be back. I'll give Ray a call.

The car is a VR 94 R2, bone stock one owner car in great shape with bad coolant seals. The interior is absolutely mint, even the stock floormats. I drove 1100 miles yesterday (20.5hrs) to pick it up and tow it home.

Yeah, hit up Ray and post up his price when you get the quote might peak some interest with other owners.

Welcome back Jeff. The forum will be a better place with you coming back.

Pineapple racing is still doing very good work.

Good to see you back on the board. Sounds like an outstanding find.
If you don't mind, why the reman if it was just coolant seals? Why not just rebuild?

Great to see you back, now make some damn battery trays. The people are waiting.

Remans are no longer as far as I am aware.

It's Jeff! Welcome back!

I did a Mazda reman in an FC a few years back with great success. But, I'm not sure how they've been lately. David Jerome with SpeedForSale makes some nice motors as well, I worked on an FD with one of his motors and that sucker was TIGHT.

Good to see you around! Does this mean that 51R battery trays will be in your future?

Dale

$2300.00 is reman pricing. New Mazda engines are around $4300.00 as stated by Rich and are a great deal if you price trying to piece a new engine together yourself.

Sorry if I misread your post but it seemed you were saying actually
NEW engines were $2300.00

If the engine has only bad coolant seals, why not just rebuild it? My original engine had 108k till it blew and was still mint when I opened it up.

I already know about you, we waved at each other this last summer and the sound your LS2 makes, makes me jealous.

We might almost have enough people here to get a gathering going!

well i'm actually working at a dealership at the moment, so yes i did say that NEW engines are $2300, because this is the case right now.

i know in the past its been different, and i'm sure it will change again.
