Mazda parts are now MORE expensive.. like gas prices..
I went over to Trussville Mazda today to pick up some parts and was told that parts prices have increased 10+%.
I've also called Malloy and they told me the same thing.
They told me that it might increase again due to gas price increase and increase in exchange rate.. Go buy your parts now before it get even more expensive!

Could it possibly be because of the age of the car as well? I thought I always read that after 10 years a vehicles part production stops and from that point on must go according to reserves and aftermarket companies picking them up.

I was thinking twice about going to Deals Gap in two weeks because I know its going to cost me over 100 bucks in gas just to go there.
I've also sold my 1st gen and when I hired the transporter to pick up the car, they couldn't find any drivers willing to pick it up for the price they quoted me. I think its because of the gas price. I also haven't driven my FD in about a month.. one of the big reason also being the high gas prices.
Soon or later, I would need to make at least 10% more to just cover the extra cash I'm spending because of this hike in gas price. I'm seriously considering getting rid of my Acura and getting an SUV when people start dumping them on the market

I don't mind driving the FD, but I prefer to fill up in increments. Dropping anything over $30 at the pump in one filling just feels like robbery, so I usually fill up again later in the week so as to create the illusion that I'm paying less. Luckily I found a station that still does 93 for $2.85 as most prices are $3.00-$3.15 around here.
