I thought there was a group buy for the RZ LHD replica's years ago. Was it Widefoot Racing?

Yup thats the one. Dead pedal and cover. It was an option on (i believe but dont quote me on this) RZ and spirit r's. It could have just been a mazda factory option. I have a set here that I can take some more pictures of. The gas pedal is curved and overlays on the stock gas pedal (attaches with two stainless steel allen head bolts). The deal pedal attaches over the stock dead pedal however it will not fit our cars. They are both stamped "RX7"

I was contemplating making a LHD version of the dead pedal and would be based off of the RHD one I was just happy to get the set I did cause they are pretty damn rare. I'll take some pics and post em up. The slick gas pedal is pretty nice when you are sliding from gas to brake . (plus they look really nice!! ) .

Dan (scrub) has been asking if I can find him a set but I have been looking for 6 months and so far no dice. I was contemplating replicating them, but it's probably not gonna happen as the stamp molds are really expensive to create unless lots of people end up wanting them

Oooh, those look nice but you Canadians use RHD eh'.

I don't see why the gas pedal wouldn't work, it's still on the right on a RHD. The rest pedal I understand since the bottom looks contoured to tran's tunnel and goes down to a point, and ours is more of a skinny rectangle.

The gas pedal fits LHD. The dead pedal will have to be replicated in the LHD shape.

Which? The scuff plate, gas pedal, dead pedal, or passenger foot rest? I have been thinking about doing the entire set but again we need large numbers if any one of those items is going to happen. -Heath

I'm just interested in the heel guard. I got a dead-pedal cover and a wide-foot extention on the accelerator a while back (the extention suits a foot roller like me). But the mats are about two years old now and starting to get the usual wear area from heels. Thought about adding a guard and your's looked nice.

HEEL guard? Like for the bottom of your foot? The piece I made is for the tranny side (vertical) carpet section... protects the carpet from the side of your foot. My new carpet didnt come w/ a side scuff plate (stock is plastic) which is why i created the side one. If you want something for your HEEL just take a hole saw to some flat aluminum Though i wouldnt want anything slick like that under my foot.... get a little oil or water on your heel and you could easily slip off the brake etc.

Here's a pic of the dead pedal installed in my car.

I know these aren't the Mazda optional pedals, but here's mine anyway. Much better (for me) heel toe, and no slipping.

Thanks. And it's worth at least 20 whp and knocked an average of .5 off my average solo time too.

I made this as a mock up...if I ever make a final version I would offset one column of the holes to give it a more interesting design.
