I called a few and they either cant get them or dont want to sell them. I called Ray and he said that he can only get motorsport parts for the current model cars. He said that someone sells them on the internet. I searched but could not find anything. I'm not looking for the stock parts, i'm looking for the upgraded bushings.

Gosh, you'd think if you give Ray or any other dealer the part numbers they could order them for you.

The last time i called them they said that i would need one reuslt then i could order parts and i would have to send in the 2nd result within a few months. I found a set of nylon trailing arm bushings. I just hope that i doesnt wear out, i'll definitely put in a grease fitting. I might go with the pettit street version dif bushings.

They've gotten pretty strict about that over the last year. I know several people who were turned away until they could produce real results (even though they were "trying" to buy parts to actually compete with the car).

I just found this thread. I just had the experience today.

Mazda won't even sell OEM bushings. You have to buy the whole stupid trailing arm. Talk about a sucky company policy. Pure theft!

Then I called Cork-Sport. MazdaMotorsports' beefed up bushings are backordered and not expected until the end of July.

And MazdaMotorsports will not accept drag racing time slips as "proof" of racing use.

Ray Crowe at Malloy can't get them to provide him parts either.

What the hell is their point? Why won't they sell parts to willing purchasers?

Mazda is incredible for setting up their Motorsports program! For competing in two races a year (auto-x counts or "real" racing counts), you get parts cheaper than the dealer. I don't know of any other manufacturer doing that, so quit whining people...

Here's the full list of part numbers (thanks John!):

F128-34-480 C BUSHING, FRONT UPPER CONTROL ARM (4)
Notes: 40 STIFFER THAN STOCK. FRONT UPPER CONTROL ARM, INNER BUSHING.

F128-34-471 C BUSHING, LOWER ARM SUPPORT (4)
Notes: 40 STIFFER THAN STOCK. THESE LOOK LIKE RUBBER DONUTS. THEY HELP SUPPORT THE FRONT AND REAR LOWER CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS.

F128-34-470 C BUSHING, LOWER CONTROL ARM (2)
Notes: 40 STIFFER THAN STOCK. FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARM, REAR BUSHING.

F128-34-460 C BUSHING, LOWER CONTROL ARM (2)

F128-28-460 C BUSHING, LOWER CONTROL ARM (REAR) (2)

F128-28-42Y C BUSHING, TOE CONTROL (RR) (2)
Notes: 40 STIFFER THAN STOCK. INNER TOE CONTROL BUSHING ON TOE LINK.

F128-28-52Y C BUSHING, TRAILING LINK(RR) (2)

F128-28-8C0 C BUSHING, UPPER CONTROL ARM (REAR) (4)

I agree w/ rynberg. Mazda Motorsports is great. They ship parts VERY quickly, and their online catalog is awesome. You can look up parts availability and pricing before checking out.

I don't think they have any particular beef with drag racing, but you need to have your name and car model printed out on the results that you send them. If your track doesn't do that, that's not Mazda's fault or problem.

When I signed up last year, you had the option of buying parts for a car that you were still building for competition. You had to send in your current license or membership (SCCA or NASA or whatever) or some other proof that you're a racer who's building a car for competition. It seems that they're trying to avoid dealing with the people who are just looking to put aftermarket parts on their cars and drive like ******** on the streets.

Two autocrosses aren't that hard to do, in my biased opinion (I autocrossed before I owned a Mazda).

I think for drag racing you cant just show them your time slip. For example when i went to sears point they make you fill a card with your info and the car and you sign the wavier. The workers at sears point takes the card. You need a copy of that card and your time slip and thats enough proof. The guy at mazda motorsports says that it would be good if you have a pic of you car at the track with the number on it.

"Whining" my ***. I just want to give them my money & I can't think of a GOOD reason in the world why my money is not good enough for them for some stinkin' bushings.

And should I quit "whining" about freekin Mazda when they stop selling oem bushings and require purchase of the whole freekin arm instead? Bunch a damn robbers without guns & masks.

Back to the question. Anybody know of a source who ain't so picky about who they will sell their damn bushings to?

It's set up for racers, not the general public. The Mazdaspeed parts are made in low quantities for racers, they don't have production capabilities for the general public.

The bushing in the trailing arm has NEVER been available as a separate part. Mazdaspeed bushings are the only separately available version of that bushing. They wear out every 60k, just buy a new set of OEM or aftermarket arms, or wait for Corksport to get you a set of the Mazdaspeed ones.

It's called Mazdaspeed Motorsports. It's an incentive for people who enter sanctioned competitions in Mazda vehicles and it's a big deal! If you don't compete twice a year then of course they won't sell to you, they're trying to promote the racing of Mazda's, not provide every owner on the earth with cheap parts.

Mazdaspeed Motorsports is not a public store and is not asking for your money. It was set up to support the factory race team and extended to support private race teams both professional and amateur with OEM parts support, competition parts and contingency money. They sell parts at Mazda North America's cost, i.e. the dealer is charged more. Now in respect to fair business and their dealer franchisee, the only legal way for them to sell parts to us undercutting the dealer is to have strict standards of membership. Two legit races per year is not very strict. If you don't like it, buy a Toyota and pay through the nose for flashy cosmetic TRD parts from a dealer.

I have been a member if Mazda Motorsport since 1990. They have helped provide me the means to support an expensive racing habit, with a number of Mazda products. Maybe it has helped keep me Mazda loyal; what it has done, along with the Great support of Porsche and Lotus, is keep my 911 and Europa of the track.

And should I quit "whining" about freekin Mazda when they stop selling oem bushings and require purchase of the whole freekin arm instead? Bunch a damn robbers without guns & masks.
As said above, the oem part and bushings always were one piece. Maybe Mazda didn't want hacks chewing up the arm getting the bushing out. Bye the way I ordered my MMS arm bushings a few months ago and as is typical, got them in a few days.

They will get you a part overnight to your motel at the track when you need them.

I love Mazda Motorsports! Without their help and prices, I wouldn't have been able to rebuild my engine by myself without paying through the nose. Even though my engine is currently dead (my fault), I support them 100%. I wouldn't have learned how the rotary engine works or looks like without their very FAIR prices.

I might buy another Mazda in the future because of this program that helps out people who want to race and promote Mazda Motorsports.

I'm happy to supply any genuine part direct from japan. I much prefer people supplying me the parts # though - a great reduction in hassle.
