I might need those rear calipers, mine have been giving me grief after a rebuild....
What I really need is the adjustable 99 spec wing for less than a grand and in my color!

Maybe you or someone else can chime in with a quick question.
Should i wait for them to make them, buy used?
i was planning to get some from napa/auto parts store. Any reason as to why not? or does it matter?

The brake calipers listed are Spirit R rear caliper/piston body. As such, as they only suit 32mm wide discs on the type RS / RZ / Spirit R, not the 22m wide standard discs on earlier models. Also they will be in red from the factory.

Also, they have a list price of 62K yen, or roughly USD600 each - before postage. Not cheap.

Mazda should create and send a special link to all the major rotary forums where parts request could be sent directly by enthousiasts using part # and be calculated. That would be the most efficient way to know the people's need.

Honestly, who here would stalls a project for a vacuum hose or almost general screws ! 😂

Don't hold your breath. Lots of folks here getting excited, but no one should get excited unless they have a RHD import. As stated multiple times before, LHD NLA parts will likely remain that way. With the Japanese getting more into classic car ownership, expect less descent RHD examples to wash up on our shores.

About the only good I see here is a resupply of new engines and new engine parts! That's something to get excited about!

For me, the biggest part of the announcement is not the list of reactivated parts but the commitment to continuing production of the parts that Mazda has already been producing all this time anyway. What are these parts? Well for starters, 13B engine rebuild parts and new engine short blocks. This is the single most positive aspect of the restoration program so far and the one that should bring a smile to the faces of LHD owners, even if there are some parts that they likely won't get (eg LHD specific interior parts)...unless of course Mazda USA brings some pressure to bear on HQ.
