matching or changing twin impellers?
matching or changing twin impellers?
so I asked this question on the forum before and recieved dumb responses.I know that the stock twin turbos have two different impeller wheels, has any one changed or matched the two with a non-sequential setup?I am still learning the whole impeller design thing (a/r,blade count, pitch ect.)and what the different specs do.BNR is top secret on their setups and I have an extra twin motor and turbo's I would love to play with.Any experienced responces or suggestions would be appreciated.

Since the factory cast manifold really chokes flow circa 400 rwhp and you can make up to that with the factory twins, nobody has really messed with it. If the wheels aren't identical, they are most definately close enough. People have repeatedy chipped at the upgraded stock twins path and it seems kinda hit or miss. Most companies won't mess with it anymore and I haven't heard an update from BNR in a while.
I posted in that other thread (if I am thinking of the one that you are) that I heard a rumor that the stock turbines had different number of blades. I just looked at my stock turbos (the original turbos from my car, sitting in my closet) and the compressor wheels and turbine wheels appear identical between the two. Well, I didn't actually measure them, but they have the same number of blades. The turbines both have 9 blades.
