massive fuel problems
more info and background
i found this car in a barn ,,in northern ontario....the guy was playing with the fuel system,, i guess he had no idea what he was doing,, maybe,,not judging cause neither do i ,,kinda,,,,,anyways i got everything out and found the o rings and diffusers were gone from the primarys,, replaced them and put everything back together,,, now when i got the car it was leakig fuel from the exhaust side,,and its hard to see where its comming from,,, but its still dripping ,,,i took the plugs out and lots of fuel came out when i turned it over,,i have the fuel relay out so the fump doesnt keep filling it up...now i have everything back together and its still flooding and leaking from somewhere ,,, i have another complete engine and im comsidering the swap ,,but then i havent learned how to fix this issue....i want the education
Check the fuel pulsation dampener. These are notorious for failure and turning FD's into a bond fire. It is the first thing that is recommended to be replaced when aquiring one of these cars.
Edit: Dang you posted that before I finished. Are you trying to troubleshoot a stock set-up or the KG set-up.

you currently have the stock setup installed? well switch the KG stuff you purchased and see where that gets you, check the fuel lines for any cracks/splits and replace line as needed.

i would love to run the kg system but ive been told i need aem ecu,,,and right now i cant affored that,,plus a guy did a great write up on it with pics and everything and it doesnt seem like a massive job to install ,, but like i said the ecu thing has me
ive never drove rx7,,,and never drove right hand drive,,, i wana try this thing sooooo bad,,,even considered putting in my other engine just to drive it before i go crazy with the cosmetics i have planned
the current AEM unit has problems with the FD IIRC, look at teh apexi PFC, you have much reading to do, but yes, you'll need an ecu upgrade to be able to control the larger injectors
they like to get under your skin^
honestly, I think it's best to just give them a bit of info to get them started then tell em to search, there's so much info on the board sometimes it's hard to find the answer.

to answer that yes i am a rotary noob,, however im not new to cars or builds,,but ive been all over the internet researching this car,, and i love it ,,, if its a problem that i could use some help from people that own build and know rotary rx7 then the best thing is not to reply to my post,,, i think the post count thing is dumb because if someone has a problem that i can help solve i will gladly help,, regardless of status on this site,,and for the help im getting right now is gold.. cause its just that much sooner that i get to finaly take this car out for a spin
besides i ******* scored on this car ... i picked it up for 4g with everything you could want... tanbe exhaust,,blitz blow off,, apex timer,,kg fuel system brand new in a box...however i would just like to get the stock system running so i can at least try it,,
I don't know if there are any rotary guys in your area, but I'll be up there fishing this summer, if you get a PFC and datalogit by then I'm sure I can escape my family for a bit and lend ya a hand

where in northern ontario are you?
and yes, the plugs could most definitely be leaking, do the deflooding procedure and see if you can start it then, then let it sit for a few days and see if it's flooded again

No. This would not cause it to flood but it needs to be checked. A flooded engine will not burn the car to the ground but a fuel leak on top of the engine will. This should be your first priority.
I live just north of Sudbury. In a little town called Cartier. I've pulled the pluggs. Pulled the fuel relay to stop the fuel pump from charging the system. Seemed like a good idea to me. I've disconected the coils so no fire. And cranked her till she went dry. But she don't wana start again. And I've also checked fuel lines and don't see any leaks there. It doesn't seem to be leaking from fuel rails or pulsation dampner. As far as I can see anyways. It's on my hoist. And the only place I can see the leak from is straight down from the exhaust
