Map Sensor Check Valve

Is the check valve to the Map sensor in between the two vac lines a one way check valve? Cause air flows freely both ways through mine and I've been trying to figure out a problem I've had and just came upon checked that valve but I know it's a stupid question cause a check valve should be one way or else why have it there...

It's a filter, not a check valve.
