switching from synthetic to non-synthetic...?????

The previous owner of my buddies car ran synthetic oil for about 10,000 miles of the original engines life (37,000miles) and i was wondering would there be any negative effects of switching back to normal non-synthetic 20w-50 oil?

This might be a stupid question, but need to know the answer, no syn vs non-syn debate please.

No problem at all. However, I would recommend running 10w30 instead.
