Question Manual Boost Controller Or Electronic

Why are so many people using manual boost controllers compared to electronic?? is it because they are so damn cheap? are there any benefits to getting a electronic? which one do u think is better overall?

thanks

I would buy a manual one like the TurboXS DSBC cuz I'm poor. But if I had the money, I'd go w/ an electronic one like the Blitz SBC-iD.

I think the advantages are: More consistant boost levels regardless of temperatures. The ability to set
a couple boost settings. And some control of boost spiking I think.

I'm looking at adding a Profec B this week.

The bad things are: Improper tuning could be very costly. And instalation is a little more complex compared to manual boost controllers.

hope this helps.

Manual Manual Manual!!!

Pros: Cost / Simple install / Simple Use / Nothing to go wrong and if it does theres only one piece to trouble shoot.

Con: You have to acutally open your hood!?!! (So What)

Has anyone tried the TurboXS units? And how would they compare to the Greddy or Hks manual controllers? http://www.turboxs.com/

Hi Jesse,

Do you think that electronic will give you more consistant boost regardless of outside temperatures?

And I have a loss in boost at the higher rpm. Will the programable selenoid work to correct this. I do not think a manual one can. I want 15 psi all the way to redline.

Thanks for the reply,
Also thanks for the vol#13. I received it last week.
