AI is alcohol injection or auxillary injection. Both mean the same, but auxillary could mean just water or methanol.

"hured" did you mean HEARD?

PS - Why do people list the cars they've "sold" in their sig? I never got that. If you dont own it anymore, why?

Anyway I think you need to research the word "daily" in this forum for some advice.

I would first make sure that the car is in top machanical shape before you make it the DD. Then move on to the reliability mods i.e. rad, vacume hoses, new plugs and wires, new fuel filter, have the injectors cleaned or replaced with larger ones. Also if your wallet can handle it a PFC wouldent hurt.

AI is a good idea to make your 7 super reliable. I would research that immediately. I don't DD my 7 but Im building it up so it can be DD'd. I have all the reliability mods, SMIC and will be getting AI (water only). I got hooked on the AI idea due to its steam cleaning properties. I strongly suggest you do the same.

I've been DDing my car for about 4 years now. That 700 you think you're going to be saving is going to turn into 300 a month because **** breaks all the time and its really helpful to have a little savings on the side when the FD feels like being a bitch.

Get a civic as a daily driver. Why spend all that money on AI and all the other upgrades just to make it a daily driver? Get a civic and call it a day.

It depends on the condition of the car really. I DD my car and it has been very reliable, still never had a problem. ::crosses fingers:: I have 3" DP, 3" exhaust, stock cat, PFC, Apexi intakes, non-sequential conversion, everything blocked off, Greddy elbow, AST, etc etc. Basically its close to stock and runs great even as a DD. Just expect to be at the gas station alot.

The cost to maintain the FD as a daily driver will probably end up costing you more than buying a 10 year old civic/toyota/subaru/ect and keeping it running. I would recommend against depending on this car as your daily.

Hows that? Explain because I've been DD'ing my RX and have no problems or crazy maintenence costs at all. My friends with Civics, Nissans, etc always have alot more problems than I ever do. The only downtime my car ever had was when some young girl crashed into it. This guys car is pretty much bone stock for one and I'm a firm believer that if you take care of the car it takes care of you back.

the cost in gas would almost make it as if you still had that jeep. do yourself and your bank account a favor and get civic or something similar.

Screw the civic. AI will solve ALOT of the problems 7s have with reliability and the hardware itself isn't as expensive as you would think. Make sure you get the right kit. All of you mentioning the civic make a great point but I spend the money I do on the car because I don't want to drive anything else. However the notion of making a 7 a daily driver to save money is just...
HAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

In the stock form your car is in just make sure you have the maintenance up to date. Vac lines in good shape, new plugs, wires, new fuel filter, etc.. If you take care of it, it will run just fine. AI(water only) is a good idea, and will increase the longevity of the motor due to helping keep down carbon buildup. Gas mileage is another story though, and there is not much you can do about that...

I agree on both parts.

Although i think adding your "garage list" in your sig is gay anyway IMO, adding the cars you used to own is even more gay. Moreso because i believe they want people to know what they had and maybe envy them for having it at one time etc etc.

I used to add my cars in my sig but then i thought it was gay, because who cares? Are we in a competition to who can have the best car in their sig? Or like the more cars you had in your sig, the more "baller" you are?

If thats the case, ill add a 911 turbo and a 360 modena. Maybe that would work lol

On your second part of your post, i agree that maybe a simple search would have been more suffice. Because there was no question in the thread, it was just a story of what the OP is going to do in the future.

To add to the OP's post, ill say that alot will come when DD'ing an FD. You're better off selling the jeep and getting a really cheap POS beater. You will need it.

Well i just got burned... but thats ok...

but i could care less about the gas miles, to be honest but i see the point in getting a civic or something just incase so if i need to i can pick up a cheep truck for low payments for the most part and i really dont see why people say that there 7's always brake because if you just really take good care of it then it should be fine, but i just like to see what people think, and also the motor was rebuilt under 10k ago so its good for now....

if yal wanna keep on adding stuff then keep on keeping on

well I drove my FC as a DD for nearly 4 years doing over 55 miles a day, only time it was off the road was for upgrades. Don't see why an FD woud be any less reliable if maintaned well and kept in stock form.

If you want it as a DD, that's definitely possible. Here's a post I made a while back:

In the long run, this could be one of the worst decisions you possible for you. If you can't afford your current daily driver, get a cheaper one.
