Make sure everyone picks up the Aug issue of SCC

Sport compact car continues there project RX-7 (finally). In the issue they completely tear down the engine. Great issue.

They rebuild the engine and show it step by step in detail.

they don't go into huge detail.. not like you can rebuild a rotary from reading it... it just explains why it failed and what they plan on doing... SRX7 is rebuilding it for them.

hehe...have't actually read it yet...a friend of mine told me the detail was excellent. Guess I got overly excited. I am just glad they are continuing the project for all us to see.

All I could think while I read it, and looked at the pictures was that my turbo manifold has to look as crappy as theirs did after 130K on mine. What a pile of engineering. Overall the article was nice, and informative although there were a few times when their lack of rotary prowess showed.

Read it a few days ago at my cousins house, I thought it was a pretty good article. Is Ray Lockhead doing all the work for free for them?

I thought it was a pretty good article. At least they finally are getting back into project RX-7. But now instead of buying everything from M2, they're doing everything Ray tells them to. I'm interested to see how it all works out, especially the Power FC.

you know I followed their project FD from the beginning and my apex seal just went last week. Funny, that both of our FD went at similar times.

the thing about scc projects that i hate is that for most people it's not economically feasible to replicate what they do. i'm not sure about this car, but a lot of their projects are like that.

I agree. They feature cars that are well built and respectable. There are no cars that are featured because they have goofy paint jobs and LED muffler tips (*ahem* HCI & Import Tuner). They have good tech articles that are fun to read even if they do not apply to any cars you have. Nothing is "dumbed down" like in many other mags.
