M2 Flywheel

Hey guys, I just picked up a M2 Aluminum Flywheel, and it looks to me that the replaceable insert needs to be replaced. Ive searched everywhere, all day for this piece, or even just any information on the M2 flywheel with no success. It has 10 bolts that hold the replaceable surface on.

Does anyone know where I may be able to find any info on M2 Perfomance parts?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Ill post pictures up tomorrow because of my computer acting like crap

I *think* you can order the replaceable friction surface from www.srmotorsports.com. I hesitate to recommend them because of horrible customer service stories, but you might want to call them up and see if they can sell you what you need. They used to sell an rebadged M2 flywheel as their own.

M2 Performance Flywheel

Hey guys, does anyone know or have any info. on "M2 Performance"? Ive done searches through all of rx7club and google, but I havent found anything about M2 Performance, or aka "Mostly Mazda".

I had just bought a used flywheel by M2 Performance. It has the replacement insert thats held on by 10 screws, but I cant find, and dont know where to get one. Its similar to the SR Motorsports, Mazdatrix, Racing Beat, fidanza, but they all have a different bolt pattern.

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Anyway, M2 has been out of business for over 3 years.....that replacement friction surface doesn't look like RB or SR Motorsports, so you are probably out of luck and will have to make your own or be left with a nice paper weight.

Tyler, I'm 99% positive that the friction surface I purchased through SR back in 2002 looks identical to the one pictured. I can check this weekend.

Rich, the SR flywheel I got 2 years ago looks just like the one on their website with 16 mounting holes. Perhaps they changed their design between 2002 and 2005?

This is what went into my car. I hope this helps. It has about 5000 miles on it and seems to be working well. Then again I drive like an old man.

Whoa sorry about the double thread, I was trying to post the first one up last night, but my computer was freaking out, and the server was saying it wouldnt allow...

Anyways, I have tried all of those websites, but no success. I was looking over at the surface again today and it looks to be in good enough condition to be ran again for a while. Ive read today that M2 performance was really hard to get in contact with, but they're parts are genuine pieces.

I think in the future, Ill end up going to a machine shop to get one made for it or something. Thanks for all the refrences guys

Hey Keep up posted with whatever happens. I have this same flywheel in great condition and I'd like to know the details if you ever discover them.
