M2 Medium IC Where to put AST?

Where do you guys with an M2 Medium put your AST also do you use standard size batteries or smaller. I am using my small size battery with does fit but contacts the IC. I have put a foam in between them for the moment ut would like something more permanent.

I did what Crispy did... drill and tap a couple of threads on the PS bracket right above the idler pulley and fab a bracket to hold the AST from there. Clean and outta the way.

The AST is not needed and is a waste of time and money and weight.
Many of us have removed it years ago.

Do some searching!

Thanks Chuck.

I have done reading on Steve Scud's site and have also been told this by someone else before, maybe the haggle of trying to fabricate something is going to push me over the edge to eliminate the AST.
