M2 Large install question

Those of you who have installed The M2 large intercooler what does the bottom rest / sit on? Is there supposed to be a bracket that bolts to that cross bar?

Most SMIC simply sit on the cross bar and are held in place by the intercooler piping.

Yup. I put a layer of self-adhesive foam on the bar to reduce the chance of nose. With the clamps and duct in place, the intercooler is pretty secure.

As long as you have it fully clamped to the piping, the intercooler goes nowhere. The only issue I've had with the M2 setup is the CF IC duct not lining up properly...Not sure how to fix that... :/

just make sure the top of the IC doesn't rub against the inside of the hood.

this could happen if you put a little too much self-adhesive stuff on the bar.

The duct does not align correctly (it is off by about 1") no matter what you do.

I was afraid of that. It's aesthetically displeasing. Maybe I should consider making one that actually fits properly...

If you look at that duct you will see that it is a very complex design and would not be easy to replicate.

Apart from the slight lack of coverage, it fits well. Not sure why it was designed this way - there appears to be enough space.

Looks can be deceiving!

It does fit well in general. It's just the weird offset irritates me from time to time.
