Low coolant light coming on for no reason ??
Low coolant light keeps coming on when I start the car up, but goes away once the car is warmed up (doesnt come on if i stop and star tthe car if its warmed up). I've checked the fluid levels and everything is topped off. My seals arent going either .. no smoke out the rear, fresh rebuild, and no bubbles in the coolant.
What gives?
What gives?

Yeah, I'd check the coolant reserviour, then check for any bubbles in the system. The only time I've ever had this happen was shortly after doing jobs that require removing the Radiator. I always monitor water levels pretty closely for a couple days, to a week, after the fact.
At the least, don't forget that the coolant line attached to the throttle body is the highest point in the system, so any air bubbles will eventually settle there. I'd pull that off after the car has been sat for a long time, and squeeze the upper rad hose until until ALL the air is out, than quickly fix it to the nipple again...
After you've ensured that all the air is out of the top, you can run the series of on/off/refill to ensure that ALL the system is flushed.

make sure you fill it up when the car is cold. the reason it goes away when the car is hot, is that the coolant will expand a bit, and fill up past the sensor. But when cold, it dose not fill past the coolant sensor.

When the light goes off, stop the car, and top off the rad.
Or, just follow the burping procedure for the FD, which is probably in one of the stickies, a FAQ, or just search for it.

if you did, you must have a leak somewhere. the stock rad is prone to cracking on the sides, so is the rad hose if they haven't been replaced recently.
check those and report back.

The important thing here is to keep the coolant level full, check it everyday before u fire the car up and top it up as necessary. It is no secret that the fd cooling system can be a bitch to get full after doing any work to the system.
monitor temps while driving and add coolant as needed, if the problem persists a leak is likely the culprit
It u are convince that u do have a leak somewhere also. check under the car for drips or puddles and get your hands on a cooling system pressure tester to help find it.
its most likely a leak or just air in the system
