Low boost at WOT - 4psi??? searched

Thanks in advance people. Have a 93 FD and everything was fine yesterday then last night just pulling 4psi. Took it for a run to confirm through the gears today and I am just getting 4psi up to transition then zero then back upto 4psi. consisitent and hold there but no higher.

Before the issue it held a solid 12psi...

Tried searching and came up with limited info about the issue...

Please if there are any suggestions let me know

i'm thinking wastegate???

everything else with the car is fine...no smoke, steady idle...

Mods...5000kms rebuild 3mm seals, ported, DP/MP/RB exhaust/ HKS intake/PFC

Thanks

If you still have it, make sure that the double throttle control on your throttle body is fully connected and operating properly.

Thanks for the tips...unfortunately cant take a look at this this weekend...wedding season has begun but still searching around....took a quick look under the hood and all looked well...will look into the throttle body and all the other hoses...could be out for a while...

would there be any problems running it like this for test runs?

thanks

Sounds like a boost leak.

It won't hurt it to run it like that, car will just be down on power. If your still running stock couplings at the cross over pipe, IC, and intake elbow you will want to go over those looking for cracks or splits.

I am having the same problem .. I am running non-seq and my boost guage just started running 5 lbs.. which sounds like only one turbo is working.. i have the whole passenger side of the engine bay pulled apart. .about to pull the down pipe. to try to get a better look at the turbos with out taking them off.. . all other lines look like they are in place. any one else have any ideas or thigns to look for?

and how the hell can i do a pressure test on my intake piping. is there soemthign that i can buy at auto zone or some thing to check for a boost leak..

few mods:

Greddy FMIC
Enini Y-pipe
Greddy elbow / bov
DP
Straight Pipe

Well u got it right!!! the plastic pipe for the inlet to the stock IC split...looks normal - just a faint line showing but when compressed, it splits right open...hopefully thats all thats gone...

once again thanks to u forums members a problem solved

Thanks a bunch

now to search for a replacement...

later

I swear, that coupler is the culprit of about 95% of all boost issues posted. You'd think people would learn to check it first.
