Low boost problem

Hi. I have already searched and havent found an anything relating to this problem so i was wondering if someone could help.

its a Fd and its only boosting to 5 psi in all grears butn in second sometimes it strugles to even hit 3 psi.

I have reset the ecu by disconecting the battery and pressing the brake a few times(is this the right way?)

Is this a common problem?

Thanks
Peter

also i dont think there is any leaks in the intercooler piping (still got stock ic)
