Low boost issue after 4K, but only after rpm settle.

I'm sure I'm not the first to have this issue, I tried to search. Searching for low boost didn't find anything similar to what I'm experiencing and I'm not even sure how to explain it.

Any gear, WOT boost pattern is correct. 10-8-10

In 5th, downshift to 3 & 4, WOT everything is fine.

Stay in gear 3 or 4 go WOT before 4K and everything is fine. However, let off WOT and let rpms settle back to around 4k and go back to WOT and boost is low ~4psi.

Mazda's wastegate? They are 99-spec twins.

That's usually a sticky solenoid or bad check valve.

I will look at getting new check valves, might as well do them all since they're cheap.

Is there a particular solenoid that would cause this issue that I can start with?

Charge control solenoid, test it with the KOKO test.

Also get under it and check your actuator arms are tight below the turbo pack

Last night I replaced all my check valves with new ones from DaleClark. Driving to work the issue still exists. I will start checking my solenoids now.

Any update with this? I'm having a boost issue also, stock twins, just dp, stock midpipe, and axle back. Power fc also running base map. I only have 5-7psi if I'm lucky in both turbos....

Unfortunately no, I have not had time to start testing the solenoids.

They never post if they solve boost issues on this site. I have looked at numerous post on this forum about boost issues and it seems like they just disappear into space of the unknown with out any resolution to the problems.
I think most people who have fixed their boost issues did it by accident and have no none answer go re post so they leave the post in limbo!

Ya you got that right... I've been searching and everything is just left open ended... I've need reading all the random links for the diagnostic procedure and still have no luck. Also there was one link that posted a "most likely cause of you have x, x, x boost pattern" and my issue wasn't one of them... any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like I just need 1 of those to replace my charge control valve.
