Sounds like someone just discovered how to find cars on the Japanese Auction.
IMO if your going to spend money on a front bar, might as well go with the 99 spec.
My JDM had a bit over 90k km's when I first got her and I got close to another 50k km's out of the car until I blew my engine because of a boost spike one night. So if your planning to buy one especially from Japan don't always assume that 90k km's is "too much".

I've got that complete body kit sitting in my garage. Note that the front nose utilizes the stock turn signals

(Supporting) what he said.
Don't bother.
Illegal to do. They have to be 25 years or older in the US, or come up w/ $200,000 to crashtest 'em.
Np. Question has been asked 1001 times. The Search feature is your friend

Any links to Japanese FD auctions?
Any idea (ballpark) for price to import an FD from Japan to the US? I'm thinking of the 99-01 models.
Sorry for the newb questions...

I have been looking at tons of japanese auctions, but if you buy a FD off one dont you cant drive it until you pay alot of money to get a title isnt that right??
Here is a link for some jdm cars...a uk site though...
http://www.autoadvan.co.uk/stock.php
And there are places that import the car and legalize it here, but its going cost you a crap load....

Please don't give him false information. No place on EARTH can legalize a RHD FD without crashtesting it (which has NOT been done), and in which case the car would be on the NHTSA Vehicle Eligibility List - which it isn't. There are merely shady shops that will provide you w/ a state title ONLY - that does NOT make the vehicle street legal in any way, shape, or form. In fact, it's fraud, and if you get caught, it carries a mandatory jail time sentence. A title doesn't make a car street-legal; proper HS-7Forms, EPA documentation, meeting FMVSS, and obtaining a DOT-issued VIN DOES.

I'm a huge fan of that front bumper. You can get it from PFS:
http://www.pfsupercars.com/
Erebuni sells it also, but I'm not sure if the Erebuni bumper is of the same quality as the PFS bumper.

2) What's the point of asking a question when you have a forum that dates back to '96, with archives going back to '01, and a search feature which will show you probably 300+ threads on the question you're asking?
3) If you think that was a slap in the face...oooh boy. Fasten your seatbelt, b/c you're in for one heck of a ride. This is an *incredibly* rough forum, *known* for it's flaming of noobs. Most of the time when you ask a question like that your thread simply gets locked. No questions asked. Sometimes the mods see it a bit too late, and a simple question has turned into a 4 page all-out noob flamefest lol. Ppl here REALLY don't like seeing the same questions asked over and over, esp. when they can be easily found in the 3rd Gen FAQs Sticky as well as by searching. So really...relax man. I'm just givin you a head's up. I even included a smile in my post, didn't I? Don't say I didn't warn ya btw...

Well, since there is already so much information to search on (3,000 threads for the Japanse FD), why don't they just shut this forum down and leave only the search functionality .. that way, all you good 'ol boys don't have to get so irritated numerating all your responses for us dumbass noobs!

MrNizzles,
Please just drop it. FDNewbie answered your question, didn't he?
Anyone who has frequented these forums for over 6 months has seen the exact same question repeated many times, especially regarding importing the Japan-only models sold between 1996-2002. We stay on here because new stuff actually happens every now and then (for instance: https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/engineering-better-harness-bar-warning-long%85-656852/ ), and because it's nice to help people keep their RX-7's running well.
