Love My 99 Spec Wing

Ok, so I'm sure there's a hundred of these threads, but I've recently bought painted and installed an authentic 99 spec wing. This is what the back of this car should look like...and yes I know I needed a car wash.

One can never go wrong with the 99 spec wing. I had one installed for like a blink of an eye... I ended up removing it because I'm a wingless kinda of a guy

I have a 93 touring with the standard wing, but want an OEM 99spec wing and will be sourcing one soon.
Does the 99spec wing boltpattern fit up with the 92spec standard wing?

I'm going to install one of those on my FD. Does it adjust and if so, what angle did you set it for?

Installation was easy, you just have to drill two holes. I made a template out of paper to show me where to drill.

Yes it's adjustable, I have it set at 5 degrees. There was a great write up somewhere that someone calculated the downforce for the angles available

That looks nice. Did you get it from here? I remember seeing a thread selling 3 of these by same seller.

I want to get one for mine too, but my hatch has no holes for spoiler. I'm would like to get new hatch with holes, so I can keep current one as it is.

Got mine from Circuit Theory, but I git the last one.

And I'm sure if you try and trade some one, there are those out there that like to go wingless

I installed mine grudgingly at first, preferring wingless, but now I really like it.

I do like the '99 spec wing. My car has RB Type 2, which is similar. My question is, what hatch struts do you guys have? The previous owner said he replaced them, but it didn't make much difference. He might have gotten cheap ones, though. I don't care if they are expensive. I just want them to be right the first time.

I love both the FEED type 2 and the 99spec and still cant decide which looks better. I think it depends on the car color. I only bought the FEED wing because it was offered at a price I couldnt refuse in the classfields.

i have both rb type 1 hanging on my wall (came with the car) and 2 wing on the car atm. just get the new struts from ray at malloy mazda. mine holds up no problem.... i think the next wing i want to go for is the feed type 2... looks soooooo sexy yet subtle

I love the FEED type 2 best as well, from a purely visual standpoint.

That said, it must not produce any downforce, because if it did, it would rip right off at speed... being held on by not much.

The '99, by contrast, actually has metal frame inserts in the uprights.
