More info might help. Front or rear, any vibration or sensation associated with it? Is it associated with braking, steering? What have you checked and ruled out?

its a metalic click. its from the front of the car. i have checked the subfram bolts and there is no vibration. its acting like its a joint that is in need of lube. are there any bearing bushings in the front suspension?

There was a TSB out early on (1993, I think) for pressed-in ball joints coming loose and causing popping in the front suspension. If you had this problem back then, they were replaced on warrantee.

DaveW is right. There was a TSB on this and it was for a clunking in the front end. There are no grease fittings on any of the suspension parts of an FD and the ball joints cannot be sold individually. You simply have to buy the whole control arm with the ball joints pressed in.

There are a couple of threads in the suspension section about this. I have what sounds like the same issue. Possible causes that I've seen written about are:
- bushings on the upper or lower control arms
- ball joint
- steering rack bolts loose

steering rack bolts first. its probably not them but check anyway.

For whatever reason...on some cars the upper 'A' arm bushings will sometimes move fore and aft a 1/4 inch or so during low speed braking. It's an easy fix, but you'll feel it as well as hear it. It doesn't sound like what Bryan was talking about.
Mine creeks a little occasionally when backing from the garage, but I think it's the in my (aftermarket) swaybar endlinks.

Do you feel it as well? I feel and here click in my steering, its more of a clunk, really. Like a tough spot in the steering, so I have apply more effort, and then it gives way with a clunk.
