Loud high pitch whine coming from engine!

Alright, so in general, I replaced my FPD a while back and in process I broke some of the solenoid nipples. I super glued them back on and the car was fixed until I started to boost and I got no 2ndary boost so everyone was saying it's my solenoids. During that time though while I was driving, my car started to make a whine under the hood. It seemed as though it was coming from under my UIM and again everyone said it's probably a solenoid. I replaced the three solenoids I broke. Started up the car and the whine was about 10x louder!

Wtf is this?

I would test your check valves (if they are the stock check valves). I've seen them on occasion start to split and cause a whistling sound.

Problem fixed, the ground wire got in between the UIM and the loud whine noise was air.

Also fixed boost problem, car is 100% again yes!

you're gonna have to go over everything with a microscope. could be anything from a misrouted vacuum line to a crack in a check valve to a UIM not seated properly and the air across the gasket causing a "reed whistling" type of noise.

Wow, thats impressive.

Just a thought but I would imagine the time spent making your original post would of been pretty equal to the time needed to find and fix such a problem.
