Lose of secondary turbo boost after y-pipe installation
Installed a y-pipe this weekend. Everything seemed fine Saturday and most of the day today (Sunday).
This evening under boost (12psi) @ about 6000 rpm I lost boost from the second turbo.
Came home tonight and pulled everything apart again. Checked all clamps, y-pipe couplings, intercooler couplings, etc.
The only thing that I found that I didn't like was the fact that the rear of the y-pipe (one with o-ring) feels looser than I like while inserted into the coupling, could that be causing my problem?
Here are the results of 3rd gear pull
2500rpm - 4500rpm feels fine (12psi) no abnormal sounds.
Boost drops at the transition and stays low 2 - 5 psi (highest I went was 6000 because I didn't like all the whooshing sound I heard).
I can hear a whoooshing sound (air exiting system, not air sucking) which sounds like a major boost leak.
Like I said, previously the only thing I don't like is the loseness of the y-pipe into the rear (o-ring end) connector piece. Is that a typical problem with the y-pipe leaking air @ that location? If it was leaking there, wouldn't it leak while my first turbo was boosting as well?
Any suggestions? Need any other information?

did you check the vac hose that comes of the mani. to the secondary turbo pipe (far back pipe) it has a nipple on the top sticks up!! if that pops off when you hit secondary boost it dops to 0-2 psi nithing at all but primary is great no prblems! check all the vac hose on that side use a couple of ty raps!!!

yup, double checked that one this morning, it is on nice and tight and looks to be in good shape (the car has only 34k miles on it so the original hoses, etc are still soft and flexible) The car was babied for the first 8 years of its life...

I picked up some vaccum hose today and I'll hose-job all the hoses I can reach around the area I was working, could have busted something loose - good time to hose-job anyway since its apart.
Will post again later tonight after I hose-job and put it back together.
