Looking for underbelly pics.

Does someone have any good shots, or know of some, that will assist me in putting the new underbelly pan I bought on my FD? I have the TSM but it is kinda of convaluted to read exactly where placement goes. The car did not have it when I bought it, I just had my car done with the new paint and front end, so now I need to stop being lazy and put this on. If I can't find any good pics or guidance, it will most likely sit in the box in my room for a while longer

Thanks

You don't need any pics. Jack the car up, hold the new belly pan to the bottom of the car, you can't screw it up.

As Jeff said, it is self-explanatory. There is only one way it lines up. There are six 10mm bolts for the underpan itself, you will need an extension socket driver. The front of the underpan goes over the front lip, so you'll have to remove those bolts and replace them to go through both pieces.

Hmm, so it attaches to the bottom of the 99spec lip? I'm trying not to sound dumb here, but when I don't have a sound mental model of the underside of the car it isn't as self explanatory as one may think.

EDIT: The belly pan slides into the 99spec lip backside? like this...

Trust me, it's really easy once you get the car jacked up.

The underpan goes on like:

bumper
front lip
underpan
bolt

OK, one last question, where, if any, does the pan bolt to other than the underside of the front lip?

There are six bolts besides the front lip -- two by the radiator mounts on either side and then two back at the crossmember.

Does the stock undertray work with the 99 spec front bumper? That would be an issue

Doh! That's a very good point. Actually, I think the 99-spec front DOES require the 99-spec undertray (although the installation would be the same).

you'd think the 99 lip wouldn't work with the stock underbelly pan. since the 99 lip doesn't use all of the bolt locations on the 93-98 bumper skin. there might be some trimming involved? i'll see if i can get a pic or two of the 99 lip with the 93-98 undercover installed...

edit: my buddy is running this same setup, and he said there are only a few holes that don't line up. he just used the holes he could for the bolts, and he hasn't had any problems with it so far.

Uhmm, yeah, that should help DC. I know you wrecked you rother car, but did you get hurt very badly in that accident? If not it seems you were lucky.

Also, doing my quick search which came up with no pics, I do believe I saw something about the 99spec bumper and 93-98 underpan not fitting exact.

Yeah miraculously, I crawled out from under that, through the window, got a couple of scratches from the bushes, which were thorny... and Had a physical headache for 1 day, and a bruised tail-bone, for 2-3 days.. and the rest of the (implied) headache has subsided 1 month ago, when I finally sent it off to the scap yard...

Look at the rock the front end landed on. A few more feet in one direction and that could have been where you head would have been. Man, that would have given you a major headache. Lucky. Great shot of the under belly though.

That was a drainage outlet (concrete) to drain water under the road I flew off of and it did dent / scape that side a bit.
The amazing thing was the scoot hood survived with minor cracks on the inside due to buckeling.. and a couple of minor scratches that can be filled with fiberglass bondo on the outside...
