looking to buy 3rd gen and parting out

Recently some lady clipped my 93 rx7 and totaled it. Really a bummer cause i feel i just finished the project. I am looking to buy another in the same condition. If i cant have my baby back i want someone similiar. Has to be black in near perfect condition. I also have my car still so if you need parts let me know they front is destroyed up to the radiator but everything else is fine.

Sorry for your loss. Just my $0.02, at least from the angle of the pic you took, it doesn't look that bad at all. Very fixable, and it's possible that there's no frame damage either. The frame rails still look straight, and the front doesn't look to be pushed in much. From the pic, it looks like your damage was very very minor. All superficial. New bumper, re-bar, lights, assembly, maybe the front rail bar (since you said the radiator got messed up too). But it doesn't look like it took much of a hit at all...the fenders look untouched! Oh yea, and you need a new hood haha.

I really think you should think twice about buying another, switching things over, and parting this one out. It's definitely not a total loss, I'll tell you that...

the pic doesnt show the damage very well the frame rails are bent like 70 degrees fenders are gone the other car ripped through the front sideways without bouncing off and pretty much took out everything in it. insurence totaled the damage to about $14000 and totaled the car so it has a salvage title now anyway.

The DAMAGE was $14K? Damn...excuse my eyes/screen/whatever. Sorry

I got a black on black 93 R1 100% bone stock w/ a fresh high end (top of the line) repaint for sale if you're interested. It's in EXCELLENT condition. NO minor or major accidents whatsoever, no damage, the works. PM me if you're interested.

Thanks

not that I'm a vulture, but when are you going to start parting it out? Also, are you buying it from them (insurance company) and then parting it out or just taking aftermarkter pieces off and selling those but not parts off the whole car?

Your car looks like an easy fixer. Damage number seem high only since new OEM parts are expensive. The hood lists for about $1000!

I could fix it.

Exactly. I have a secret for everyone....I bought my car with a salvage title on it However, the salvage title was complete bullshit and a scam from the owner prior to the guy I bought it from (I bought it from a youg guy in the hills of PA who never dove it, he picked it up at an auction and then wanted a bike instead). The guy spun out on an off ram and smacked up the driver side front corner, airbags never blew.

You can see damage repair around the driver headlight housing, the bar under the SMIC area is slightly bent, and the A/C pulley is nicked....everything else was repaired perfectly. There is no way in hell that the car was realistically totalled back in approximately 2001. It would have taken around $12,000 in damage to warrant it. Add to that I had ErnieT look at it when I first bought it, the Mazda dealer here looked it all over when they initially changed the fluids, then Demetrios looked it over when he did the work, and finally my friend's body shop who did all my personal body work checked it over when it was there....and they all said that no way the car was mechanically totalled unless a perfectionist rebuilt it. Whoever owned it at the time pulled something off to get rid of it and get the cash. Therefore, I contacted DMV and my insurance and when I got the title they had cleaned it.

Need drivers side windows switch

I have a 93 7. Recently a piece of plastic broke in the drivers side window switch box. I'm looking to buy a switch box to replace. The switch box is the part with the two windows switches and 'on off' button, it is easily removed from the door and is just held down with friction clips.

I could make you a good offer on this part, looking to replace very soon. Let me know if you have it to part out.
Can contact me off board @ rx7 (at) wendlink (dot) com

Cheers,
Kyle
