Locking Hood Pins
Locking Hood Pins
Does anyone know who makes high quality locking hood pins.
I will be removing the stock hood latch assembly because it will be in the way of my fresh air intake. I am going to cut a hole in my A'pexi front bumper and make fiberglass ducts to force cold air into an air box. It's all on paper now but I will be starting on it soon.

Not to be a smart *** but it's Apex'i or Apex. the 'i' stands for internatinal. So in the US it's Apex'i anyways go to RaceSearch.com and you'll find nice SS locking hoodpins, the quality is really good. (I have personal experance with these)

Johnny: This is a little story.... One day little Johnny (hehe) was
he didn't know what to do so he
to the 7-11 around the corner... grabed a few fourty's and went home and started
well he ran out of 40's so he decided to go back to the 7-11. First he started
but then he felt a little
and he started to
all over his beautful RX-7's interior. then he felt
so he started to drive again and before you know it he
and railed a tree. Poor Johnny. Should have never drank those 40's! esp. the ghetto thug 11% ones!
Haha yes I am bored and felt like making a little store out of smileys.

Thank-you gentlemen for correcting me but the spelling of A'PEXI was copied off a decal I receive from parts that I purchased. Right or wrong what ever. I am not a rocket scientist. I am just a poor block head looking for some help.
OH and by the way" Thanks for responding to the posting . I am going to check out the websight now."

I like the moroso hood pins used here. much more conservative design and better looking imo.

I also don't see the point of locking hood pins. The hood still has the latch that keeps it closed right? Believe me, when my hood release cable broke, it's not a 30 second job to get the hood open.....
I also like the low-profile Moroso pins that Crispy used. If I ever get a Mazdaspeed hood, I'll be using those.

For the guys usign the above MOroso Hood pins.
The clip that locks on the PIN, Does it sit on the Hood?
or does it have a plate or something that it sits on, to
prevent it from scratching the paint/hood.
