try pulling the fuse on the alarm. at least you should be able to start it then.

have you tried locking the door from the inside ... shutting the door and unlocking with key from outside and then using outside handle to open the car ..... just checking the simple stuff to start with .....

Have you tried using the key to lock and unlock from the driver's side when the alarm is going off?

yeah of course, i tried the simple stuff, cause i assumed the alarm is the same as on my 91,

i locked it, and then put on the jumper cables and then unlocked with the key and it went off,

i left it unlocked put in the jumper cables, let the alarm go off and tried to stick the key in the door and turn it off, but it didn't work

i pulled out the lock and someone told me if you pull out the 2 wires that go directly in the lock and connect them, you can bypass it, but i don't know for sure.., can anyone tell me?

i'm confused myself, what does this do? i'm tempted to try, but don't want to disable my car. i was at a dealership once and when he opend the door to the fd, the alarm went off, i was like what happened, he had the key... After 5 minutes, the salesman couldn't figure it out and in an extreamly embarassed tone, asked me to come back later. Needless to say, i fled that black/red interior auto slush bucket like no tomorrow. btw, how do u turn off the alarm in this situation?

alright so far this is what i've figured out..... the battery is dead and has been for awhile, it died from letting the alarm, this is what im thinkin, the power is low, and the power door locks don't have enough power, so when you turn the key, the alarm doesn't know that you are disabling it, so it doens't turn off, or something along those line, so, after a good battery chargin it should turn off, somone correct me if im wrong

Ok. I have an 86 FC, but its an aftermarket alarm. who knows, but I had a similar problem. I'm not sure what all is included in the alarm system, but if there is a button inside the car somewhere, turn the car on and within like 5 seconds push and hold it for a bit. it may not apply but I'm just throwing out what I know. good luck!

i have a wiring diagram book for the 95. it includes a diagram for the alarm system. I assume that it is the same for all FDs. I dont have a scanner here, but I can take it to work and scan it during the week. send me a message if you would like me to scan it for you
