which suburb are you talking about??

Story Time:

This is short, but made me laugh quite hard. I was driving through my community (TONS of teenagers and pre-teens) and my car is actually really loud do to my exhaust leak. I was pulling onto my friends street to drop him off and these 2 girls, about 9 and 10 years old yell at the top of their lungs "Fast and The Furious!!". I started laughing really hard then gave them a nice Blow off and they screamed and ran in the house. After i realized they compared my car to one in TFATF i was kinda upset

Same here, I live down in Coastal South Carolina and I can't go outside to wash my FD without some of the neighborhood kids coming up and asking me questions about it. I enjoy it. Though I enjoy it even more when the few hotties that live in the neighborhood stare me down or stop by to shoot the **** while I'm washing the FD. I do get asked the same question from all the kids though. "Do you have NOS on it??" I just laugh and say that only babies feed from bottles.

Rich, I know because I am older, wiser and not educated by the US military

I was in Houston again a few months back for a Divisional meet. I stayed with a couple who are close friends of mine and had to wash the car late Friday night, as you all know you don't go to the track with a dirty car. My friend asked if the car gets a lot of looks, she has always thought it pretty (motherhood made her get rid of the Miata ). I explained to her that I get a lot of comments, but since F&F came out the teenage crowd is nuts about FDs. Just then a 14 year old comes RUNNING full speed down the sidewalk from a block away and is so out of breath when he gets there he can only say "Issa thata- gasp-pant-RX-7-ah?"

I was there a few times this year to race and apparently the kids in the neighborhood still ask when the guy with the cool car is coming back.

Hello Manute,

I'll have you know that I matriculated at Lafayette College in Easton PA, a small private institution with ~2000 students, an average class size of 12 students, and a price tag of over $30k/yr when all is said and done. I double majored in Mathematics and Economics, while simultaneously excelling in the great national pasttime of Pong

Your friend,
Spud

Well, you must be smarter than me then Lafayette to Killeen was a big step I am sure.

From now on when somebody asks me a difficult question like "Do you want fries with that?" I will know who to call. How long before you make Admiral?

My friend said that the 7 was a "***** car". When I asked him why he told me "It will get you a lot of *****"

I found this pretty funny.

Yea, little kids always ask me a million questions about my car. One time I was crusing through one of the local parks. I stoped at a stop sign and some kid on a bike was crossing the road in front of me with his dad following. He rode up to my window and was like, "Whoa, nice car!! What is it, a SUPRA?!" I was like, "thanks, and umm, no, its an Rx7." He turned around and was like, "Dad, an Rx7!" I just laughed and drove away. I always get asked, Is that a supra? Does anyone else get this? haha

Wish I was posting about how all the little hotties love my FD, but I guess that is yet to come......Oh well, guess I can tell how I get looks on my CBR

Just gotta say, If I would have known how gay, cheap, trendy, lame, embarrasing, and price rising that damn Fast&Furious movie was going to be, I would have taken my OMINATOR to Hollywood, wipped out my EQUALIZER and proceeded to beat every person that had to do with that movie to their pointless death.

Oh ya...."Biker Boyz" is going to push me over the edge!!!!

how did this thread get ressurected?! Did someone do a search on "Little boys"?

Whenever im outside working on my car or just taking things apart, a lot of the neighbourhood kids come out and have a milllllion questions. "whooooaaaah! it's that car again!" Having this car automatically makes you the coolest person on the block

not too long ago i went for a 2am snack run in our red c5 corvette... pulled up to a 24hour taco shop and theres a yellow rx-7 parked there already. i park one spot over so i can be close to the entrance and still not offend the 7 by parking right next to it. guy and girl are outside eating but he is looking away so i sneak her a smile, she innocently smiles back. go in, get my food, come back out.... they are standing between our cars and looking at mine. he is talking trash and she is just grinning. i come back and give her another smile and she cracks into one of those ear to ear smiles with all 32 pearly whites showing. i pull out and he quickly follows and rips through 1st and 2nd to pass me. he gets a little ahead of me before i drop the hammer in 2nd and pull up next to him. we are travelling down a straight road that dead-ends at a 3-way intersection. i get ahead of him with the intention of making a high-speed left and he jumps in behind me... i hit the corner, oversteer, and pound the throttle to get the back out (i know these streets really well, so i am comfortable when messing around on them). he followed me hot into the corner but backed off the throttle. by the time he came out of the corner he was ~20 feet back so i slowed down, pull alongside, and toss a thumb up (to his girl) and catch the freeway home.....

i can't wait to have a 7 parked next to the c5... a bright yellow 7, just like that one. his and hers, and she can have the vette.

damn you all and your stories! i live in a little redneck town where everybody thinks my car is just some new 4 cylinder honda wanna be. i've had one kid ask what it was and my friend told him a ferrari, then i set him straight and he almost looked disappointed. most girls just say that's nice, until they see how fast it is and they're like i want a ride! i'm sure once i get it out this spring and start playin, the 'pimp juice' will start flowin seein as how i got the car right as it started to get cold last year. good luck to you all and your missions to gettin noticed/laid/gawked at, whatever ya pride urself on!
