Little advice on removing injector covers

Hello all,

Was trying to remove the injector covers from the fuel rails and the screws would not budge.

I sprayed the bolts with PB Blaster and let it soak for 15-20 minutes and gave it another try but still some were stuck. I sprayed them down again and waited for another 20-30 minutes and tried to get them out one more time, this let to the screw getting stripped. At this point I just used pliers to unscrew them, which worked.

Now this was done on spare fuel rails so I didnt really care if the screw got stripped. But whnen I tried to remove the screws from the injector covers on my car, I could not budge them at all

Do I need a certain size screwdriver? If all else fails I will just use pliers and replace the bad screws with the good ones from the extra rails.

Thanks

Yeah, I had to use vise grips to get the screws out. You're probably best off getting some hex head bolts and replace the screws.

You can not live without a hammer and an impact screwdriver,A must have if you work on motorcycles . If you need the rail milled for 850s just send it on .I replace the screws with ss allenheads when I have them .

Try wearing a glove and make sure your using the right size screw driver. The difference between a #2 and #3 make a huge difference in undoing a stuck screw even though both fit.
