Unhappy LIM gasket replacement ....

Ok, I've been gone for a while. My car cought fire due to the FPD (go figure) just before I was supposed to drive it across country. I'm in the military and was on orders, I was pissed at the car, and didn't ahve time to fix it so ... I had it shipped to MZM. They have done a GREAT job with it so far, especially keeping me informed. If you are in the Austin area I would recommend them hands down. During the disassemly today, they noticed that I installed the LIM backwards, and said that it would in the near future cause driveability issues. The gasket is $38. I rebuilt the engine not too long ago, and have swapped it out twice. So I know how to fix it. And am more than capable. But I wanted ya'lls opinion ...
Labor to install it is ~$500 Because the turbos have to be removed. Or I can hold off, drive it out here to CA, and fix it here myself. And save the $500. But it'll take me longer as right now the engine is fairly torn apart so they can replace the solenoids, fuel rail, etc. Plus I'm still slightly aggitated with my car for catching on fire ... haha.
What do ya'll think, is it worth it to just have them do it and not even have to think about it? Or should I just suck it up and fix it myself?

Given your situation I'd lean strongly towards having them do it, that way if you have any problems once you drive it home, they cant blame it on that and you can send it back to them to have it fixed. Unfortunately your circumstances would make me really leary of risking it.

Went ahead and had the shop do it. Thanks for your opinion. Based on the fact that I have to drive from texas to california, I decided it was better to have faith than wonder every mile of the way.
