Lights fade under load

All my interior lights and my head lights fade under load. Even if I just press the brakes. I had the alternator load tested and it checked out fine. I added new 4 guage grounds and power lines. Still no dice. Any suggestions?

Yeah, that's what I was leaning towards but still have the same problem. Very frustrating.

It might be that the white plastic connector on the left side of this picture (above the left horn) has degraded and come loose:

Thanks. I'll check that out tonight. Would that cuase the dash lights to fade as well or is that connector mainly for the head lights?

Any other ideas, gurus?

What did the alternator test out at? It still possibly could be the regulator on the alternator causing the issue.

I took it to an altenator shop. I watched the guy test it. All he did was put a load on it and said the volts stayed above 13.5. He did this a few times and handed it back.

Also, if I'm driving at a constant speed I have no dimming lights what so ever. Even with the radio up. But at a stop, my lights will blink to the rythm of the music.

There is an electrical load sensor that I've heard can go bad.

You will want to run a search or read the FSM about it.

Also, it's pretty basic, but check your battery connections. Last time I had weird voltage issues the damn positive had an intermittent connection and it fried my alt and my jacobs amp......
