Smile LHD Spirit R !!!

Was at shop last week, and saw this LHD spirit R been worked on. It was converted from RHD to LHD. Here are some shoots. Love those seats.

What steering wheel is that? I'm guessing it's the factory spirit R one, but what else does it come on?

It looks like it's smaller diameter, so it'd fit me better in the car

pretty dirty engine bay...if indeed that is a real Spirit R...why no pic of the #### of 1500 in the bay???

and the painted lip w/ no brake ducts, and I don't think Spirit R's came w/ fog lights

It is the stock spirit r. Notice the red stiching. The shifter and shifter boot also have that special red stiching. They aren't cheap. I think Ramy had one for sale a while ago but I don't remember what it went for.

It looks like the real deal, but they should have left it as is. Not many of those around , to bad this one got modded out.

And second on the nasty engine bay, clean that puppy up.

if it were real, the water pump housing would not be in that shape. There are so many signs on that car that scream "not Spirit R".

True, people would go to extreme lengths for their ride. I've seen a full spirit r conversion done to a 94 fd. Like dubulop said, if it where a true spirit r, it would have that plaque with which number spirit r it is. I'm calling this just a conversion. Clean conversion though. I'm down.

Forgot to add, if i was this person and this was a true spirit r, i would of kept the stock bbs rims, those things are freaking expensive and to get aftermarket rims would do the spirit r no justice.

If it was truely a Spirit R and converted to LHD, I would castrate whoever did it. Thats just ridiculous. Why would you do that to such a beautiful car.

exactly, that's what i was thinking too. no 1 is stupid enough to do the RHD spirit R 7 to LHD, especially if the driver wanted to get all the attention and bragging rights.

If that is a conversion, someone has an awful lot of cash. I like it, although I would clean that engine bay (and take all the stock parts out of the passenger footwell)

As most of you all know, I'm mostly in Taiwan. This is why all my RX-7 tags are Taiwan tags. This car was actually import direct from Japan. By Taiwan traffic law, no RHD are allow on the road. So the owner had it convert to LHD. Fake? no no... It is real. In order to have to legally on the road, owner had to use another FD's vin tag. So Spirit R tag was removed...
