leaky oilpan. fix it TODAY.

this is just a FYI thread as i have no affiliation w the seller (other than i run his peerless engine torque brace).

many of us have oilpan leaks and there have been zillions of threads on the subject and our oilpans leak on.

it appears to me that the real fix is an adhesive similar to Hondabond, no gasket, and an item being offered for sale for the next day or so.

i thought perhaps some of you might have missed a group buy (in the GB "interest" section) on a new product which, IMO, will play a part in solving the leaks.

the reason i say "new" product is that Garfinkle is milling grooves in the oilpan brace for the ribs that run between the boltholes. typical excellent Garc engineering.

so, if you haven't bumped into the group buy thread and your pan is leaking i suggest you get on board.

chinaman,

late?

the purpose of my post was to alert people who may have missed the offer and may have an interest. since the list is still open for purchase no one is late.

late is after the offer is closed.

i am #3 on the list, i will be paying whatever everyone else pays and be happy to write the check for what i believe will be the best product of it's type.

Garfinkle is including all fasteners required for installation...a new o-ring for your oil level sensor...and the brace itself for around $100 shipped to your door.

Once cutting begins (possibly Monday) this offer closes.

You have to remember that a lot of people have signatures turned off (because a lot people on the forum abuse what goes in there). That also goes for avatars.

Yep, I've sealed many engines up without a problem.
