leak?

I'm not a mechanic so i hope i describe this correctly. I have some kind of sludge/oil starting to appear at the connection between the Y-pipe and the crossover tube. It is difficult to tell where the buildup is coming from since the 3rd gen's engine bay is so crowded. Thanks in advance for all suggestions!

Could be from a small leak in the fitting (Y-pipe to crossover) that has just accumulated over time.
Where in Fl.?

Yea sounds fairly normal. I would just make sure you getthe coupling on nice and tight. Up grade to good couplings & t-bolt clamps if you are still usingthe stock ones. Are you getting good boost?

Thanks for your posts, guys!! I haven't noticed a decrease in boost. I'm in Tallahassee. It's great to talk to other 3rd gen owners. I joined the SE-RX7 yahoo group hoping to meet some locally but so far I've met 1st & 2nd gen owners only..they're really great though! There are 3 or 4 fd3s' in town but i heard they're not interested in hanging out with other owners, too bad. I wish they're was at least one other 3rd gen in town that i could hang out with and occasionally cruise around town with. But again, thanks for your posts!! Anybody know how I can change the "Exhaust Leak" appearing under my callsign?

You have to have more posts before you can change that...

I think you can change it to a custom one around 1000 posts or something. It will change automatically after some many (20, 50 100, 500, etc..).
