Whats up guys. Kinda funny, this is my first post. I know this post belongs in the picture forum but I figured since the title speaks for itself, maybe people would rather be able to go directly to it instead of digging through the picture posting thread.
The story. A shop I worked at in Daytona Beach was working in conjunction with a foreign vehicle inporter. Mostly skylines and stuff but this one in particular made me feel all warm inside. I wasn't lucky enough to work at the shop when this car came through but one of my friends did and snapped a few pics of the car. This car is the last documented RX-7 to ever roll off the mazda assembly line. It has zero miles and was purchased by a car collector here in the states. I am unaware of the details since the car was imported after I moved back to my current home in North Carolina. Figured you guys would enjoy this.

Why do car manufactueres make an amazing machine, only to stop making it? I mean hell, why can't they still roll 500 a year out...it's not like they would have a hard time selling them.

very very nice, the spirit-r plate says serial# 1500?
Also correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like its a Type-B? It's a manual but it doesn't have the red recaros so it has to be.

it's probably a type A, the wheels are gunmetal (only on type A) and the recaro's are missing. if it's a type B it's should have front and rear leather seats in red.
but why would they take the recaro's out???

Actually... it is a dent... look at the placement on it in conjunction with the first pic shown. On the first pic you can see the clear reflection of the white strip marking the parking spot next to it. Right where you see the dent on the close-up there is a clear distortion of the white line..
It's unfortunate, but not unfixable (call me crazy, but if I had it imported for myself than a little dent like that would *NOT* be too expensive to fix..)

Is this the car that had the seats stolen out of it while it was in customs? I think I remember reading somthing about this a while ago.
Actually Got to see that car first hand at a body shop here in IL. At least it was a body shop specializing in Lamborginis an Ferrari's.
I will try and get some pics of the one I saw up in a bit.

Nice that my car's picture is being placed on this forum without my permission. The red Recaros were "stolen" out of the car at the port of Miami in April, 2006... and what a coincidence that a brand new set of Red Recaros went up for sale the same month.
The following link will take you to another RX7 site that has pictures of my car up without my permission, as well... it is #998 out of 1500.. the guy in the photo is my importer...

And yes.. that was a dent in the fender.. ask the guy who placed the original thread why the car was at his shop.

If ANYONE has any information on where these seats are, I would appreciate it if you would pass it along to me...... I filed a police report with the Miami-Dade PD in April, and until now, have not had any good leads... I have an investigator helping me with this case...
MY CAR ON THE DAY IT ARRIVED WITH MY IMPORTER:

and exactly what is this??.. who is FDNEWBIE????... anyone?

I can't get these seats (legally) in the US, because Mazda WILL NOT ship them to me, even if I were willing to part with $11,400 for the pair.. they have to be ordered and fabricated on a case by case basis... and given that, they have not done so anyways! These seats are not an item that Mazda stores in their warehouse...
The seats that are in the Spirit now were taken out of my 1995 RX7 (Blk leather). Since the 1995 only has 8200 miles on it, the seats are in perfect condition, and look very good. Mazda wants $7,200 for replacement leather seats (for a 1993-1995 RX7).... since I did not want to part with that amount of dough, I searched the internet and found an immaculate blk leather pair for $500 out of San Diego, CA, from a car that was totalled from behind, just last month.. so I put those seats in the 1995...
Needless to say, any help on this would be appreciated..

Not the company
First of all...NICE car!
FDNEWBIE is the MAN! He's one of the vendors on the site now, and is very good with customer satisfaction and getting the rare stuff for our cars, in mint condition. Very easy to work with.
