Cool Large Pics of the Montego Green FD

Well, I finally got her all waxed up, and she was looking pretty good, so I snapped a few shots. I had a couple pics I took prior to waxing (just wash and chamois) at the Chesapeake Bay, so I figured I'd toss one or two of those in too.

I just bought the car about 3 weeks ago, and realized after I checked it out more and read through the records, that the car was resprayed. Apparently the color-blind painter thought that Emerald Green with some metallic would match the Montego Blue. He was wrong, but the green looks pretty damn good when it's cleaned up. Enjoy and let me know what you think!

The calipers were painted when I got it. I'm not sure if I like them or not. The paint is kind of chunky on them, but hopefully I'll get around to getting new calipers/rotors/etc in the future. Thanks for the compliments, and after looking at the first pic again... I think i might have a new wallpaper.

I don't get what you guys mean by 'non production' colour?

I have a Montego Blue (Green) as well (1994). Does that mean it was resprayed? (It looks dark blue but when the sun hits it, it looks emerald green).

Nice pictures. Those pictures reminds me of my FD when I just bought the car. Personally, I really like the Montego Blue color. It makes the car look expensive!

its montego BLUE. Poeple call it montego "green" because a lot of the time the paint fades or just looks green.

actually I called it Montego Green because the original color is Montego Blue, but it's been resprayed. Like I said in the first post.... the painter decided that emerald green would be a good match, so now there's not even a hint of blue on the exterior. The engine bay and other interior pieces (under trim, etc) are still MB.

In US, the color Montego blue was one of the stock color available for RX7 in 1993 to 1995. In 1994, it was available for the M Series Miata (Special Edition). I don't know any other years & models have used Montego blue. Anyone know?

Also, Montego blue was not available for R1 and R2 models. R1 & R2 models only available for Red, Yellow, Black, & White.

RE Suzuki, nice MB you have. Maybe see you some time in the Bayarea.

R1/R2's were not available in white and R2's were available in silver.

Thanks for the correction. I mistaken white with silver. I also remember yellow (CYM) was only available for standard or R1 in 1993. There were no more CYM on 1994 and after. Otherwise, I bought my FD as CYM instead of MB.

haha, same thing happened to my car. . . whoever painted it. . . put more green into the mix and now everyone calls it "the green car". . . they all look somewhat green, but you can tell the difference side-by-side. my car (and your car im sure) makes MBM cars look totally blue!!!

nice car!!!
