Question Lambda Probs.

I recently bought a RX-7 -92 (FD) and now I have got the lambdanumbers from the regulary Car-inspection.
And at 2000 rpm without load it was 1.5. It sould be 1.0-1.1. (the higher the leaner)

I have fitted a autometer lambda-meter and the meter shows first red light or nothing at no load, and goes to third from maximum scale on full throttle. So when i´m pushing it it gets a lot of fuel, otherwise very little. Is this normal?

Should it run that lean on idle/lo load? It also missfires sometimes at idle. The car goes very well otherwise.

One other thing I wonder about is my boost.
I tested in third gear. When the first turbo started i got a boostpeak to 12 psi and then a fast drop to 9psi, a slightly drop at 4000-4500rpm to 8psi and then a 9psi again to 7000rpm. is this normal?

Thanks!

The a/f (lambda) reading is normal. Under no load coast down the ECU cuts fuel off completely for mileage and emission reasons. Your boost readings are a little off. Stock is 10 till the 4500 dip you mentioned which should be 8 then right back to 10. do you have any mods? Your pre cat may have broken up and clogged your cat to prevent full boost. That happens alot on this car. But if your getting 9 thats pretty close. I don't know why you have a 12psi spike unless you have mods to the car.
