Koyo with FMIC??

Anyone here have a KOYO Fluidyne Radiator with
a Front Mount Intercooler????

IF so.. Did you MOUNT your Radiator VERTICAL
or Slanted like the STOCK??

and can someone tell me the PROS and cons of
both??

thanks..

For all you smart azz's **** retentive ones..

I meant " KOYO or FLUIDYNE"

to my knowledge all FMIC's require you to mount the radiator vertically instead of diagonal like the stock configuration..

when i had a GReddy FMIC i had to mount it vertically..

The con to the FMIC is the air it blocks going to the radiator... if you can duct everything perfectally you shouldn't notice too much difference.

Pro to FMIC is a cooler intake charge.

I have a fluidyne and greedy fmic setup. I'm sure there is no other way to mount the radiator but vertically unless you start removing things..

Sean, I have a mazda comp which is a tad bit wider than the Koyos and Fluidynes. I am using a greddy 32r and I sat the radiator upright. Its a nice fit.

Dave

Did you already have a Fluidyne??
Why did you change?? to Mazdacomp?
When both radiators are or almost equal??

Since the radiator is mounted behind the FMIC.
What kinda of special DUCTING do you guys do??
Pictures of a Duct set up would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

On both the right and left sides of the radiator are huge gaps.. Fab up some aluminum or foam blockers to keep the air going through the radiator. You can also make a panel to sit on top of the IC and Rad to keep air from flowing over top of the radiator.. I'm sure someone has a pic of that. Here's mine. No cooling problems what-so-ever.

Just a quick question. Does a FMIC kit come with a kit to mount the radiator vertical?

its pretty simple to do, i just used 3/8 this aluminum sticks and cut it to proper size

heres a pic:
