Koni adjustment

Just curious how people have their Konis adjusted. For those that autocross, do you run a different setup on the track than on the street? Should the front and rear be the same stiffness or not?

Btw, it looks like the search feature is back up, but I got zero results searching for "koni adjustment" and "shock adjustment." Go figure.

They lower the car by about half an inch. Throw on some Eibach springs and you'll end up about 1.5 inches lower.

Not sure what the rest of your suspension setup is, so your ideal setup may be different. I use:
Front - one half turn back from full hard when autocrossing/track, one half turn from full soft on the pothole'd streets of Washington DC.
Back - set in the middle for autocross and one half turn from full soft on the street.

This gives me very neutral handling when combined with Eibach progressive springs, Addco front/rear swaybars, and 235/40/17front 255/40/17rear competition tires.

See the project RX7 series of articles in SCC magazine, (May 2001, IIRC) for an explanation of the effects on compression and rebound of these shocks based on some shock dyno testing.

Do your Koni Sports "click" or let you know how far in the stiffness range you are? How can you tell if the shocks are even stiffness for each side? Do we just have to guess or are my struts just broken?

I have mine set for full stiffness and the lowest setting, which I believe is a 20mm drop. They don't click, but the **** you use to turn them with is pretty easy to get them all equally adjusted. There is a huge difference in dampening between the softest and stiffest settings.

"... very neutral handling when combined with Eibach progressive springs, Addco front/rear swaybars ..."

I thought addco had a 22 mm solid rear? I'd think massive o'steer with addco solid version of stock front bar. Those progressives the old PFS comfort-sports?
